For the zine project, I really want to display my experiences as a transgender person, both now and before I really knew what being trans was. I always had a feeling of not aligning with the gender I was assigned at birth, but I didn't know what being transgender was until I was a bit older. And though deep down I've known for several years I was trans, it took quite a while to fully accept it and begin living as a trans person. So, I want to try to encompass this experience-- the years of confusion and questioning myself and dysphoria-- in my art for this zine.

For the zine itself, I think I want to keep it relatively small, likely no bigger than 4"x6". I think if it's any bigger my artwork will feel too spread out on the pages and won't be able to properly get the message across. I'm debating hand-binding it with some form of twine or string, but that will only happen if I have the time to. I also keep going back and forth on what medium I should use for the artwork I include. I have everything sketched out both on paper and digitally, but I'm unsure if I want to use pen on paper and add color digitally, or do all of it digitally. I may make a few drafts of a page or two to test out which I like better before doing all of the pages one way or another.
